Staff Bios


Tom Ragauskis

Tom Ragauskis is the owner and president of T.J. Adam & Co., a full service multi-family housing management company.  Tom has over forty eight years of experience in multi-family housing and has been involved in over $100 million in renovation and new construction.  Tom began his career in property management as a janitor and quickly moved up the ladder to maintenance supervisor.  By 1983 he began in the management aspect of the business and finally transitioning to operating his own management company in 1986.  T.J. Adam serves to build and maintain relationships though communication, commitment, and excellence.  We take pride in our company in assisting people with their housing needs.  Tom grew up in Chicago and went on to attend Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, Illinois.  Tom and his wife Debbie have five adult children and seven grandchildren.  Tom enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, reading, and football.

Carrie Mahoney
Regional Manager

Carrie joined the T.J. Adam team in 1992 as a leasing agent and was soon promoted to property manager.  By the year 2000, she earned the position of regional manager, overseeing the day-to-day operations of multiple T.J. Adam apartment communities.  Carrie brings over twenty nine years of experience in multi-family housing, excellent customer service, and commitment to work hard, listen, and follow through.  A natural leader, she works hard to build relationships with residents and staff by communicating effectively and understanding and catering to people’s needs.  Because of her love to help people find their perfect home, Carrie also acquired her Illinois real estate license.  Prior to T.J. Adam, Carrie worked as a 911 dispatcher for DuPage County.  Carrie is a native of Illinois and grew up in Glen Ellyn where she attended GlenBard East High School.  Carrie has two adult children and three grandchildren.  She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, gardening and is an avid animal lover.

Cheryl Brower
Business Manager

Cheryl has been the business manager for T.J. Adam since 1999.  Her professional experience includes over thirty five  years of accounting, bookkeeping, human resource needs, accounts receivable, and payable and general office duties.  Prior to T.J. Adam, Cheryl began as a leasing agent in 1992 and was promoted to assistant property manager overseeing a total of 1,200 units for two separate companies.  Prior to multi-family housing Cheryl worked in the accounting department for two major food distributors.


Kelly Weber

Kelly joined T.J. Adam in 1994 as the manager of Eagles Apartments in the northwest suburbs of Illinois where he still holds that position.  In 1997, Kelly earned his CAM (Credited Apartment Manager) designation through the NAA (National Apartment Association).  His professional experience includes over twenty seven years of multifamily housing, sales, bookkeeping, and accounting.  Kelly is a conscientious manager who exudes credibility, commitment, and determination.  Kelly’s passion for multi-family housing is apparent through his excellent communication skills and warm, friendly approach.  Kelly grew up in Kansas City where he was a partner in a small office supply company.  Prior to T.J. Adam, Kelly worked in retail for six years.  Kelly and his wife Judy have one adult child.  Kelly enjoys spending time with his family, bike riding, playing board and card games and gardening.

Ingrid Larson

Ingrid joined T.J. Adam in 1998 as the manager of Glen Ellyn Apartments where she still holds that position.  Ingrid has a total of thirty two years multi-family housing experience and holds an Illinois real estate license.  Ingrid understands the emotions and complexities of renting and brings to the table a high level of commitment and excellence.  She strives to accommodate her residents and staff to the fullest of her ability.  Prior to T.J. Adam, Ingrid worked for ten years as property manager overseeing 400 units in the western suburbs of Illinois.  Ingrid grew up in Naperville and attended Naperville North High School.  Ingrid and her husband Bret have three adult children and three grandchildren.  She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, taking walks, horseback riding, and traveling.

Sandy Loperena

Sandy joined the T.J. Adam team in 1992.  She began as a leasing agent and was soon promoted to property manager.  Sandy’s high degree of professionalism, creativity, sales abilities, and customer service skills attribute to her success.  It is of the upmost importance to Sandy to find the perfect apartment for someone to call home  Her dedication and honest concern is a testament to resident satisfaction.  Sandy is currently managing at T.J. Adam properties in the northwest suburbs of Illinois.  Prior to T.J. Adam, Sandy worked as the recreational director at Indian Lakes Resort in Bloomingdale.  Sandy grew up in Hanover Park, Illinois and attended Elgin High School.  She went on to attend Elgin Community College.  Sandy enjoys swimming, biking, and baseball.  She is also an avid sports enthusiast.

Jessica Duffield

Jessica joined T.J. Adam in 2008 and worked as a leasing consultant at York Meadow Apartments in Yorkville, Illinois since 2009.  In 2020 Jessica earned the position of manager due to her proven experience, dedication, work ethic, and her sincere concern for her residents.  She exhibits professionalism and top-notch problem solving skills which attributes to resident satisfaction and high resident retention.  Prior to T.J. Adam, Jessica worked as a teller/supervisor at a local bank.  Jessica grew up in Bolingbrook, Illinois and graduated from Bolingbrook High School.  Outside of the office she is a busy mom taking care of her son and animals.



Bret Larson
Systems Administrator

Bret Larson joined T.J. Adam in 2004 as the company IT professional.  Bret brings twenty-nine years of experience in maintaining, building and repairing hardware and software.  Bret’s ambition and strong work ethic clearly attribute to improved workplace harmony and productivity.  Prior to T.J. Adam, Bret worked for Direct TV, Ameritech, and Emergency Nurses Association as an IT professional.  Bret grew up in Marion, Iowa before moving to Naperville, Illinois where he attended Naperville North High School.  He went on to attend the University of Iowa and the the College of DuPage.  He earned a Microsoft Certified Professional designation in 1998.  Bret and his wife have three adult children and three grandchildren.  When he is not at work Bret enjoys cycling, camping, and all types of games (board, card, and video).
